Cath Price started making work around an animal theme 7 years ago while studying at the Michaelis School of Fine Art. After completing her Master in Fine Degree she started making ceramics full time. The minimalist forms she produced at art school have now transformed into more realistic representations. Her love for animals is evident in the miniature pigs, rabbits, sheep, ducks and rhinos that populate her bowls, platters and mugs. Cath is passionate about ceramics. She designs and hand makes each piece in her home studio using porcelain clay and the slip-casting method. The products are microwave and dishwasher safe. Cath donates a percentage of her profits to Compassion in World Farming, an international organisation that works to improve the living conditions and treatment of farm animals.
